1st day

Area Lednice-Valtice - Mikulov

In the morning departure from Brno for the Lednice-Valtice area, visit of the chateau of Lednice and a walk through the chateau’s park to the Minaret or a boat trip to the John’s Castle, one of the romantic constructions in the park.

Visit of the National Wine Salon in the chateau of Valtice with a degustation of the best vintage wines.

In the afternoon visit of the historic downtown of Mikulov - the castle and its gardens, Jewish quarter, Canon’s houses and the Dietrichstein’s tomb.

Visit of the Vinoteque of St. Urban and the dinner in a wine cellar with a tasting of regional wines.

Accommodation in Mikulov.

2nd day

Prušánky-Nechory - Mikulčice - Strážnice - Petrov

Whole day trip to the wine-growing regions of Strážnice and Podluží.

First stop will be in Prušánky-Nechory with the highest number of wine cellars in Moravia, and the other one will be made in Mikulčice - the most significant centre of the Great Moravian Empire. Possibility to visit an archaeological exposition of the Great Moravian Empire.

Arrival to Strážnice - walk through the city and skanzen which will show us the life and traditional houses of the residents of the Moravian Slovakia.

In the evening visit of the wine cellars in Petrov called Plže, a big cellar area with white and blue painted cellars, decorated with popular ornaments. The wine cellars Plže were noticed already in the 15th century.

Accommodation in Strážnice.

3rd day

Bzenec - Uherské Hradiště - Luhačovice

In the morning a stop in Bzenec from where comes Bzenecká lipka ( Riesling) and where the sparkling wine is produced with the classical method, fermentation in bottles, since the year 1875.

Visit of the Moravian Slovakia Museum with an exposition of traditional folk costumes in Uherské Hradiště. A boat trip along the Bata’s Canal possible.

In the afternoon visit of the spa resort Luhačovice - walk along the Colonnade with tasting of the healing mineral springs.

Dinner and accommodation in Valašský Šenk in Vizovice.

4th day

Vizovice - Velehrad - Buchlovice

In the morning visit of the well-known distillary R. Jelínek in Vizovice with a degustation of typical products - plum brandy called slivovice and various fruit liqueurs. The visit of the Castle of Vizovice with rich decorated interiors in the Baroque and Empire style is possible.

On the way back to Brno a stop in Velehrad with an original Cistercian monastery from the 13th century. Possibility of a wine degustation in the Velehrad cellars.

Visit of the upper crust castle garden of Buchlovice.

Dinner including a wine degustation at the Old Post-office, the place where Napoleon Bonaparte spent the night on the eve of his Austerlitz battle.

Return to Brno.
