The town famous for its beautiful countryside and for the pilgrimage church on Green Mountain (sv. Jan Nepomucký). This church was built in honour of St. John of Nepomuk in the early 1720´s. It is the finest example of the work of the architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichl, and is the most original example of a style czech “Ghotic baroque” in Czech Republic. Santini created the church with a circular layout, into which he inserted a decagon. Five oval and five triangular chapels alternate around its circumferences – the number five symbolises St. John of Nepomuk (the number of stars seen after the saint´s death). The Pilgrimage church was included in the UNESCO List of World Heritage in 1994
