1st day

Moravský Krumlov - Znojmo - Šatov

In the morning departure from Brno for Moravský Krumlov. Visit of the chateau with the famous paintings of Alfons Mucha, called Slovanic epopee.

Departure to Znojmo and visit of the historic downtown - the town hall tower, the St Nicolas Church, the St. Wenceslas Chapel, the castle, the St. Katharine Rotunda dated from the 11th century with frescos of Přemyslid dnasty.

The visit of the former Premonstratensian monastery in Louka near to Znojmo, prior of which was also Prokop Diviš - the lightning conductor inventor. The visit of the monastery and its vine cellars is finished by a wine tasting of Znovín production.

The visit of hand painted cellar in Šatov the work of one-handed painter - M. Appeltauer.

2nd day

Area Lednice-Valtice - Mikulov

In the morning departure from Brno for the Lednice-Valtice area, visit of the chateau of Lednice and a walk through the chateau park to Minaret or a boat trip to the John’s Castle, one of the romantic constructions in the park.

Visit of he National Wine Salon in the castle of Valtice including tasting of the best vintage wines.

In the afternoon visit of the historic downtown of Mikulov - the castle and its gardens, Jewish quarter, Canon’s houses and the Dietrichstein’s tomb.

The visit of a vinoteque and dinner in a wine cellar with a tasting of regional wines.

3rd day

Buchlovice - Uh. Hradiště - Strážnice - Petrov

In the morning visit of the upper crust castle garden of Buchlovice. Possibility of wine tasting in the castle cellars.

Visit of the Moravian Slovak Museum with the exposition of traditional folk costumes in Uherské Hradiště. Arrival to Strážnice - walk through the city and skanzen which will show us the living tradition of the residents of the Moravian Slovakia.

In the evening visit of wine cellars in Petrov called Plže, wine cellars area with white and blue painted cellars, decorated of popular ornaments. The cellars were noticed already in the 15th century.

4th day

Slavkov - Kyjov - Milotice - Čejkovice

In the morning visit of the gardens and the castle of Slavkov ( Austerlitz) the place of the Battle of Three Emperors in December of 1805.

Stop in Kyjov one of the most beautiful cities of the South Moravia famous for its popular art and tradition costumes, songs and wine. Walking tour - beautiful town hall and castle built in Renaissance style. In the castle there is the National History Museum with examples of the popular art and habits of this region.

Visit of the Castle of Milotice with an impressive mall of wine cellars - Šidlenky. The castle is built in the Baroque style and it has a wonderful interiors, French decorative garden and a picturesque surrounding.

The last stop will be in the wine cellars of Templars in Čejkovice built by Templars in the 13th century. Allegedly the cellars had 24km of tunnels, nowadays only 650m is accessible but they are so huge that a horse with its rider or even a wagon fully loaded with goods could easily enter.

Return to Brno.
