Flavour of moravian beer

1st day

Brno

Morning guided sightseeing tour around the city Brno centre including New and Old City hall, SS Peter and Paul cathedral, Minorit and St.Jacob churches, Old City convent etc.

Visit of the Brno brewery Starobrno where the beer has been produced since the 14th century when the first convent brewery was founded there. The mark Starobrno belongs to the leadest Czech beer producers.

Free afternoon for shopping and city walking.

Dinner in the famous beer pub Pegas where several sorts of beer are producing.

2nd day

Litovel – Bouzov – Olomouc

In the morning leave from Brno for Litovel ( via Olomouc). Visit of the brewery Litovel with the tradition of brewing beer since the 13th century. The royal beer Litovel is also called the Moravian Pilsner. Finish of the visit with the beer gustation.

Visit of the romantic castle Bouzov dated back to the 14th century, later reconstructed in the late German gothic style.

In the afternoon visit of the city Olomouc, the 5th largest Czech city and the bishop seat. City tour – Trinity Column protected by UNESCO, city hall with the astronomical clock, Bishop Palace, central squares, renaissance houses etc.

In the evening return to Brno. Dinner in the Castle wine bar situated in the Špilberk Castle.

3rd day

Moravský kras – Rájes-Jestřebí – Černá Hora

Excursion to the Moravian Karst, territory of lime-stone character including visit of Punkevní Cave with the boat ride on the underground Punkva river and Macocha Abyss. Short stop in the chateau Rájec-Jestřebí built in the style of Ludvik XVI. in the end of the 18th century.

Afternoon visit of the Černá Hora brewery with 500 years tradition. The brewery is producing 7 original sorts of beer, beer aperitif and several types of soft drinks. After brewery viewing finish the visit with the beer tastning and dinner in the brewery restaurant.

Overnight in Brno.

4th day

Moravský Krumlov – Znojmo – Louka – Šatov

Morning leave from Brno for Moravský Krumlov. Visit of the chateau with the unique exhibition of the most important and the largest paintings of the famous Moravian painter Alfons Mucha. Continue to Znojmo, former royal city with the Moravian oldest preserved Romanesque chapel, castle, town hall and marvellous view of the river Dyje valley.

Visit of the Premonstratensian convent in Louka including its wine cellars and wine tasting.

Excursion to the painted wine cellar in Šatov.

Overnight in Brno.
